About the counselor
(Credentials at bottom of page)
I was born and raised in southern Idaho and love the people and landscapes of this great state. You will most often find me with my wife, family, and friends. I'm also passionate about camping, rock climbing, hockey, and playing violin.
I have over 7 years of training and 5 years of professional experience. I earned a Minor in Family studies and a B.S. in Psychology from Boise State University, then a M.S. in Marriage and Family Counseling, with an emphasis in Logotherapy and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) from Northwest Nazarene University. I have since become Gottman Level One Trained (the gold standard of marriage counseling), certified level one Restoration Therapy, Couple's sensitive Individual Therapy trained, attended ACT trainings, and have become Internal Family Systems and Trauma informed.
Review from a former client:
Patrick is exceptional in his field. His wisdom, loyalty to progress and knowledge is amazing. His ability to cultivate an environment that breeds change is exactly why I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great counselor.
I worked with Patrick for a few months and I can confidentially say that he provided me with the help I needed to break my unhealthy patterns. Patrick taught me how to continue to live free from my old habits by utilizing personalized tools, action steps, and science backed research to further my healing progress.
His Christian background helped me immensely. His openness and insight to my faith helped me tie the natural and the spiritual together in my life. But honestly, even if you aren't a Christian, Patrick's teaching and counseling skills are so high level that I would recommend him to anyone looking for help!
I am so grateful for Patrick and his dedication to seeing me succeed!
