About the counselor

(Credentials at bottom of page)

If you're curious to read on, I'll share a little about me and my counseling methods/credentials. I was born and raised in southern Idaho and love the people and landscapes of this great state. You will most often find me with my wife, family, and friends. I'm also passionate about camping, rock climbing, hockey, and playing violin.

I graduated from Northwest Nazarene University with. M.S. in Marriage and Family Counseling, with an emphasis in Logotherapy and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).

I love working with couples! In my personal and professional life, I have learned much about the importance, difficulties, and incredible blessings which abide in marriage. I'm passionate and excited to help men and women learn to communicate better and understand each other like never before.

I also love working with individuals who are looking to answer the deep questions of life. I've studied Dr. Viktor Frankl's research and similarly conclude that most depression, anxiety, and general mental anguish often stem from a deep-seated lack of meaning and fear of death in one's life. If one can firmly grasp one's purpose in life, recognize our human limits and need for support, then the anxiety and sadness of this often difficult world can be replaced with a peaceful appreciation for what is, and what is to come.
